The Struggle is Real...
Let's face it, as parents we've all been there. Our phone catches the photo bug and we can't resist taking *lots* of photos of our children, kind of how a butterfly can't resist brightly colored flowers on a sunny, spring afternoon. It's inevitable. Whether they are playing around in the living room or painting artistic abstracts on your white contemporary-chic walls. Photos seem to endlessly pile into your gallery because capturing every precious moment is a must.
But how do you edit them to bring forth their truest potential??

Below are a few simple steps you can take to edit your photos of your littles like a pro from your phone and prepare them for their social media stardom. There are written out instructions as well as a video below demonstrating the process in action. Try it out and tag #ToniChicEdit so I can see your edits!

Download the Adobe Lightroom App. It's icon is blue with a bright blue LR.
Download the app.

Open the app and click the "Add Photo" icon. It looks like a picture of a mountain with a plus sign in the bottom right.
ADD THE PHOTO.

Choose the photo you'd like to edit and upload it to Lightroom.
CHOOSE THE PHOTO.

Under the Light Tab at the bottom of the screen, adjust the Exposure up slightly to the right.
ADJUST THE EXPOSURE.

Adjust the Contrast up slightly to the right if you want it to pop more or down ever so slightly to the left it it's too harsh.

Adjust the Highlights pretty far down to the left.

Adjust the Shadows up pretty far to the right.

Adjust the whites down a bit to the left.

Adjust the blacks up to the right if you want a little more "pop" in your photo and adjust it down to the left it the photo looks too harsh.

Finalize your photo. Go back and slightly adjust each slider until your photo looks how you want it to.
FINALIZE YOUR PHOTO

Export the edited photo back to your Camera Roll by clicking the icon in the top right corner shaped like a box and an up arrow.
